Commissioned by Icecream Architecture to hand paint signs, to be used in their installations as part of the Make Your Way project they are running together with the Clyde and Avon Valley Landscape Partnership.
I painted the signs and then passed them onto Martin Campbell, who fabricated the signposts and wooden installations.
For me, hand lettering is an enjoyable and meaningful way to communicate my gratitude, care or joy.
Lettering exploring themes around making and perception
For Luis Buñuel's film "La Charme Discret de la Bourgeoisie".
Developed first by hand painting lettering and other illustrative forms. Then scanning and composing the final design digitally. Including separating marks into two layers to be exposed onto a silkscreen. Finally, the poster was screen printed in 3 layers, to achieve the layered overlap between the letters and their surrounds.
